Juri Arisugawa: Art Nouveau

This literally ate my soul away. I can't tell you how many hours I spent on this, just to realize at the end that the pattern on the background is effin' crooked. I ended up so frustrated when I saw it! Then I thought that it can't be perfect. I did straight with the colored pencils, without any guidelines, so.. it's more than enough for me. I never do such detailed backgrounds and my hand was shaky at the end.

This was inspired by a poster for "Job cigarettes" done by Alphonse Mucha, one of my favorite artists ever. I have to try to make more art-nouveau pictures....
