Happy 2010, everyone! Best wishes for all!
What an irony... my last entry was related to inspiration for a more frequent exercise or your hand, mouse or tablet at drawing and lo and behold...! I have been suffering one of the biggest artist's blocks I have ever had! Nothing seems to come out of my hands! AARGH! so.. this is why... I'm posting an entry again!
You know... I can't start the year without a music-related Meme! I got this from :blackthornhiei:
... Serious blog entry coming soon! ...

How to draw more and more...
I've been going through a very busy, though month. Who would have thought that things would go downhill right after my vacations? Tests from the university, driving lessons, going to the gym, struggling at work.... Phew! I have my art+music project still going on and I'm very happy to say that even though I haven't finished it, I'm still motivated to do it.
I even found something I would like to share with you. The artist Michael Nobbs ( www.michaelnobbs.com ) created a very nice booklet called "75 ways to draw more", you can download and print this through Flickr here -> http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaelnobbs/sets/72157617078293068/ and
Artist project! (Part II)
Hey there! I have been kind of absent because I'm full of tests and quizes. Honestly, I have been in the mood to draw but I haven't had the time to actually sit down and rest, take some time to draw something worthy and post it.
Anyway, I thought you would like to find out about the project. Thanks a ton for the many suggestions, they really helped me out! I really got many good ideas!
Selected artists so far, not in any specific order:
1. Amy Lee - Evanescence (U.S)
2. Bjork (Iceland)
3. Imogen Heap (U.S)
4. Panic! at the disco (U.S)
5. Dave Grohl -Foo Fighters (U.S)
6. Maria Ilieva (Bulgary)
7. Lara Fabian (Belgium)
8. Ta
Name that artist!
I just realized how MUCH I love music and I'm planning a project that's pretty much going to take me the whole year. This time I will have the time to actually do it (compared to other years) and I think I now have the skill to go wild with stylizing and watercolor techniques, so... I need your input and ideas!
This is it: I want to draw musician portraits. One for each month. The thing is, I'd love to get names and pictures of artists who are not that "main-stream" and commercial, a.k.a Britney-F-Spears, Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, or other peeps who would easily fit onto a "High-School Musical" casting. Do you get what I'm trying to say?
